Actress Rimi Sen joins Congress, former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat calls her ‘Icon of Change’

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Rimi Sen, whose real name is Subhmitra Sen, joined the Congress party in Uttarakhand on Monday, 7 February. Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat welcomed him into the party.

According to Rawat, Rimi Sen will become an icon of change and will pave the way for positive change. The former CM expressed happiness over the actor joining the Congress party.

Rimmi Sen, a Bengali, can be seen as an attempt by the Congress to woo Bengali voters in the state, especially in Udham Singh Nagar district.
