In a shocking incident, actress Payal Ghosh says that recently she was attacked by a group of men when she was returning to her home in Andheri area of Mumbai. Describing the entire incident in a video message, Payal revealed that she was about to get into her car when some masked men tried to hit her with a rod. Payal, who says she has been in shock since the attack, further added that her assailant also had a bottle which she assumed contained acid.
The actress survived the attack but says that her hand was injured by an iron rod, Payal also shared a picture of her injured hand on her Insta story.
The actress says that she will file a police complaint on Monday regarding the whole matter.
Payal Ghosh was in news months ago when she accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment.
On the work front, Payal has been a part of films like ‘Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi’, ‘Freedom’ and a few Tamil films.
The actress is now all set to play the role of a sportsperson in the upcoming Bollywood film and renowned trainer Aamer Kamra is training her for the role.
Talking about her upcoming untitled sports film, she told IANS, “The film is not a biopic, it is the story of a girl who enjoys sports, but her family decides to get her married and start a family. Liye comperte hai. The film is about the struggle between him. His love for sports, his career and his family.”
