Ineya has partnered with Arun Nandakumar to launch the Atreya Dance Studio.
Shruti Sawant, known by her stage name Ineya, is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. She won the Edison Award for Best Debut Actress and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the Tamil film Vaagai Sooda Vaa (2011), and the Kerala Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in Malayalam for Parole (2018) and Pengalila (2019). In an exciting new venture, Ineya has partnered with Arun Nandakumar to launch the Atreya Dance Studio. It made its debut at the 2024 Indo-Arab Excellence Awards held at the World Trade Center in Dubai. Known for her versatile acting skills spanning over fifteen years across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema, Ineya continues to expand her creative horizons. Earlier, she launched her own brand Anora Art Studio in Chennai.
Following the success of Anora Art Studio, providing custom and rental dance costumes, Ineya has initiated Atreya Dance Studio. The studio reflects Ineya’s profound passion for dance and her commitment to making both traditional and modern art forms accessible to a broader audience. “Dance at Atreya is a breathtaking spectacle, with each movement crafted to narrate a story,” Ineya stated, highlighting the studio’s objective to fuse classical and traditional dance with innovative contemporary styles.
Arun Nandakumar, her collaborator, brings a wealth of experience in blending various dance forms, creating performances that promise a rich, emotional experience that resonates deeply with the audience.
Atreya Dance Studio is designed to be a comprehensive solution for the performing arts, offering an array of services from custom-designed to rental costumes, facilitating dancers in bringing their artistic visions to life. The studio will host a variety of dance-based programs including theatrical performances, celebrity shows, brand launches, and music shows, covering dance styles from contemporary and semi-classical to exotic forms like aerial and fire dance.
In addition to her new business, Ineya remains active in the film industry. She is currently involved in the Telugu film Sweety Not Crazy. Post the inauguration in Dubai, she resumed shooting in Hyderabad. The Malayalam film Gangs of Sukumarakurup featuring Ineya is set to release on Onam, adding to her impressive portfolio of diverse and challenging roles.
