Chennai, 14 Jan | Actor Sibi Sathyaraj, who is the son of renowned actor Sathyaraj, on Friday urged people to get themselves vaccinated, pointing out that doing so will help keep the intensity of the COVID-19 low.
To express his congratulation on Pongal, the young actor posted a video clip on Instagram in which he said, “It is sad to see the number of COVID-19 rising during the festival. Because, when Covid is around, we will not be able to celebrate without worry.
“The joy of the festival lies in the fact that we go and visit friends, relatives and exchange happiness. However, with Covid all around, we now have to maintain social distancing and wear masks.
“However, there is a silver lining. The small good thing about this whole exercise is that many doctors are now expressing the opinion that the intensity of the wave is too low this time around, thanks in large part to the number of people who have volunteered for it.” Has been vaccinated twice.
“So, the issue here is that those who have not vaccinated themselves, please get yourself vaccinated. Those who have taken one dose, take another. If you are eligible, please also take a booster dose. The other good news is that the government has now approved vaccination for people in the age group of 15 to 18 years.
