What makes Kabbage even more special for fans is that the film is releasing on Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s birth anniversary, which is March 17.

Kannada actors Upendra Rao and Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming cinematic film Kabzaa is creating havoc among the masses even before its release. The stunning teaser of the film, which released in September last year, has already piqued the interest of moviegoers. Now, the audience is eagerly waiting for the R Chandru directorial to hit the silver screens on March 17.

Amidst the never-ending craze over possession, another interesting update has emerged about the Kannada film. Actor-producer Nithiin, in association with Ruchira Entertainments and N Cinemas, has acquired the Telugu rights of the period gangster drama.

Nithiin made the announcement on his official Twitter handle on 1 February. gear up for blazing Entertainment On the big screen, this 17th March.” Actress Shriya Saran, director R Chandru and music composer Ravi Basur were also tagged in the post.

R Chandru also re-shared Nithiin’s Twitter post and expressed his gratitude for joining hands with both the production companies. “I am extremely happy and grateful to join hands with Ruchira Entertainment and Cinema to make my dream project Kabzaa available to film-loving Telugu audiences. Thank you so much Nitin for your love and support,’ wrote the filmmaker.

Being a gangster period drama, Kabzaa will take film lovers to the era of 1940s and 1980s. Shot extensively in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, the film revolves around the son of a freedom fighter who gets embroiled in the dark underworld. Kichha Sudeep will play the role of an underworld mafia.

Apart from Kiccha Sudeep, Upendra Rao and Shriya Saran, Kabzaa also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Samuthirakani, Kabir Duhan Singh, Nawab Shah, Prakash Raj and Kota Srinivasa Rao in pivotal roles.
