Kantara, starring Rishab Shetty, became the highest-grossing film of all time in Karnataka. It has secured the second position after KGF 2 in terms of box office collection. The film has also received appreciation across India. Now, Kantara is all set to make its world television premiere on 15th January at 6 PM on Star Suvarna channel. Actor Pramod Shetty, who plays a politician named Sudhakara in the film, is all excited for the premiere. In an interview with a portal, Pramod revealed how Rishabh focused on the main theme behind Kantara.
Pramod said that Rishabh developed this story during the Kovid-19 lockdown. Then one day Rishabh called him and narrated the gist of the story. He appreciated the idea and then Rishabh left no stone unturned to mold it into a well-structured script. According to Pramod, since the Ricky director was born in Kundapur, Karnataka, he could craft a plot according to the sensibilities of cinematographers in Karnataka. The Chase in the Dark actor concluded that the writing is one of the most important factors behind Kantara’s success.

Earlier in the career, he has created a huge set for Kantara. Rishabh keeps saying that when he sits down to write the script, my name subconsciously appears in the plot. Kantara explores the relationship between nature and man, and is a film that straddles both the commercial and art categories.”
Kantara revolves around the story of a human and nature conflict, where a young village boy Shiva sets out to save his village from the menace of an unknown evil. A death leads to a war between the villagers and the evil forces. Will Shiv be able to restore peace in the village? This answer is what forms the root of Kantara.
