Actor Dileep will not be arrested till January 27, will appear before the police for questioning

It was a worrying moment for actor Dileep on Saturday when the Kerala High Court heard his anticipatory bail, which was strongly opposed by the prosecution. At the end of two meetings on either side of the lunch, the court ruled that actor Dileep would have to appear before the police investigation team for three days starting Sunday for further questioning. The court also ordered that the actor should not be arrested till January 27 and hand over the details of three days’ interrogation in a sealed cover to the Director General of Prosecutions on that day.

After this, the court adjourned the hearing of the case to January 27.

The court said that Dileep should present himself before the crime branch’s police investigation team from 9 am to 8 pm and as a result of any attempt on his part to tamper with or influence the case. His bail will be canceled which he has now.

The twist in the kidnapping of the actress came earlier this month when film director Balachandra Kumar gave fresh statements related to the case, including that Dileep and his close aides had hatched a conspiracy to attack the police officer. The actress’ kidnapping case as well as soon after being released on bail, Dileep went through scenes that showed the distressed actress being physically assaulted by the kidnappers while she was kidnapped .

Till this time it was only the trial court that had seen it and by now it was the other revelations made by Kumar who testified before the police and a magistrate. Based on these revelations, the police investigation team registered a new case and Dileep, realizing that he could be arrested, sought anticipatory bail.

Kumar, reacting to the day’s court proceedings, said that in the forenoon session, Dileep’s lawyer had taken a dismissive position regarding my testimony, but in the afternoon session there was a major change in his attitude.

“It is to be noted that a reference was also made by the court in the afternoon session which said that there are disturbing things after going through the evidence. The same has been proved to be important in the subsequent orders of the court,” it said. . Youth.

Incidentally, when the anticipatory bail plea came before the court on Friday, it asked both the sides on the plan to take the matter till Saturday and said that since a detailed hearing is required, even if Saturday is a holiday, there will be a special meeting and Both sides agreed to this.

Dileep was arrested in 2017 and jailed in a case related to filming scenes and sexually assaulting a frontline heroine of South Indian films.

He was released on bail after spending two months in jail.
