Actor Dileep gets court relief for alleged conspiracy to kill officers

The Kerala High Court on Saturday restrained the police from arresting actor Dileep on charges of conspiracy to murder the officers probing the 2017 sexual assault case in which he is an accused.

The police have been ordered not to arrest Dileep, who is out on bail in the sexual assault case, till January 27. Last week the court issued similar orders, telling the police that they cannot arrest him till January 18.

The court has also ordered the actor and other accused to appear before the police for three consecutive days from tomorrow and cooperate in the investigation.

The court warned Dileep, “Any interference in the investigation will be dealt with seriously and the bail order (given in the sexual harassment case) will be quashed.”

Ultimately, the police were asked to submit the detailed report in a sealed cover on January 27.

The court was hearing a pre-arrest bail plea in connection with alleged threats to the authorities.

Recently, film director Balachandra Kumar, who made shocking revelations against Dileep in the assault case, has also given confirmatory statements to the crime branch.

Some of the accused had filmed the entire act to blackmail her.

There are ten accused including Dileep in that case.
