Mari Selvaraj started shooting for her upcoming film Mamanan, starring Udayanidhi Stalin, last week with a muhurta puja. Actor-comedian Vadivelu also joined the film’s unit on March 14. The film is special for Vadivelu as it marks his return to cinema after five years.

Udayanidhi will produce this film under his banner Red Giant Movies. Udayanidhi has been very busy for some time now due to the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies elections. With the elections over, Udayanidhi has now resumed shooting for the film.
After Mamanan, Mari Selvaraj will direct a major film with Dhruv Vikram, which is yet to be titled.
