We want it to be easy for people to connect and play great games wherever they want, wherever and whenever they want.

This agreement is a testament to the impact our gaming team has made, and I am extremely grateful for their hard work and commitment. Over the years, we have expanded our content pipeline and become a leader in game subscriptions as well as cloud gaming. And it’s especially gratifying to see the response from fans this holiday and to read great reviews of our new first-party titles.

Effective today, Phil Spencer will become CEO of Microsoft Gaming. When the acquisition closes, Activision will report the Blizzard business to Phil.
