AHMEDABAD: With 31 cases, the state again broke the 30-plus barrier in daily Covid-19 positive cases after three days. The active cases reached 208 as the patient’s discharge was recorded at 14.
The new positive cases include 5 each from Jamnagar and Vadodara cities, 4 from Valsad, 3-3 from Surat city and district, 2 each from Ahmedabad and Rajkot city, Anand, Junagadh, Kutch district and 1 from Navsari.
All the five cases in Jamnagar were of a doctor’s family. Local officials said he had no travel history. “A 72-year-old man from the family complained of fever and after testing positive for Covid, the entire family was tested. While four are being treated in home isolation, the senior citizen has been shifted to the hospital,” said an official.
