acs: Impostor Arrested For Using Acs’s Name To Pressurise Cops | Varanasi News – Times of India

VARANASI: Jaunpur policeon Thursday, arrested an imposter for using the name of additional chief secretary (home) for pressing administrative and police officials to get works done in many departments.
SP Jaunpur Ajay Sahani said that inspector Kotwali Satish Singh, along with his team, was busy in vehicle checking near Rasulabad crossing when he tried to stop a car carrying red and blue beacons. The person sitting inside the car started pressing policemen to not stop his car cliaming to be a relative of the ACS (home). Finding his activities doubtful, the police checked the registration number of the car through e-challan app and found that the vehicle carried number of some other vehicle registered in the name of an executive engineer of Sarda Canal Lucknow.
On asking for registration paper, the imposter failed to produce the documents after which the police took him under custody and started interrogating him.
The imposter was identified as Himanshu Kanojia of Sarai Khawaja area of ​​Jaunpur. Apart from seizing his car, the police also recovered a laptop, a tab, three mobile phones including one with fun call app, which showed CUG number of the ACS (home) on the screen, six ATM cards, a lighter in pistol shape and cash worth Rs 3,340.
Kanojia divulged that he used to call the officers of different departments including police to pressurise them in the name of ACS (home). Kanojia had also collected a huge amount of money from many persons in the name of arranging job for them in the state government secretariat.
