Question Hour proceedings began at 11 am on Thursday, the 10th day of the seventh session of the 15th Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot started answering the budget debate in the assembly at 5 pm on Thursday. During this, the Chief Minister said that out of 500 announcements of the budget, approvals of 60 budget announcements have also been issued. At the same time, on the question of the completion of the budget announcements of the Leader of the Opposition, the CM said that when we can complete 70 percent of the announcements of the election manifesto in 3 years, then will we not complete the budget announcements? He said that we have consulted thousands of people on the budget and by churning like ocean churning, nectar has emerged in the budget.
CM further said on the allegations of taking loans that no state government can take loans without the permission of the Center, in such a situation, the Government of India issues permission to take loans after examining various parameters. Earlier, Gulab Chand Kataria spoke on behalf of the opposition on the budget debate.
Center is not giving money to states: Gehlot
Gehlot said during this that the central government is not giving money to the states on time for the schemes. Gehlot alleged that the amount that Rajasthan should have got has not been received yet. He said that this time also Rs 19 thousand crore less has been received whereas last time also 15 thousand crores less were given. On the other hand, on the allegation of Rajendra Rathod going in the government OD, Gehlot said that our government has not gone overdraft even once, we have taken money only under Wages and Means as per the recommendation of RBI.
Declare ERCP as central project Modi government
Gehlot further attacked the central government on the Eastern Canal Project (ERCP). Gehlot said that BJP leaders should cooperate with us in getting this project declared as a national project. He said that the Government of India delays the ERCP, so we have made a provision of 9 thousand crores in the budget for ERCP. On the other hand, on the budget debate, the opposition Gulab Chand Kataria, while replying, asked the government from where will you bring the budget for these announcements, using the data.
Along with this, the issue of deadly attack on Barmer’s RTI activist Amraram Godara recently came up during Question Hour in the House. Raising the issue of assault with RTI activist, Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Rajendra Singh Rathod and RLP MLA Pukhraj Garg have demanded the early arrest of the accused.
During this, Rajendra Singh Rathod said in the house that there were a dozen accused in the Amararam case, but so far the police have been able to nab only 4. On the other hand, Pukhraj Garg said that the main conspirator in this case, Sarpanch Azad, is roaming around. Let us inform that these days social and human rights activists are also demonstrating in the capital Jaipur regarding Amararam, where apart from the demand for the arrest of the rest of the accused, there is a demand to make proper rules for the protection of RTI activists.
