The injury caused by Eknath Shinde’s move was not yet full that Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray got another major setback. Amidst the political turmoil, Ravindra Phatak, who is said to be close to Uddhav, has also joined the rebel faction. The thing to note here is that Uddhav Thackeray had sent the gate to Surat, so that he could convince the rebel MLAs present there and bring them back. But after returning from Gujarat, Phatak himself rebelled and went to Guwahati and joined the Shinde faction. By the way, the gate is not counted among the rebel MLAs, because they are the leaders of the Legislative Council, that is, they are not MLAs but MLCs.
Thackeray seems to be weakening due to constant leaving with his loved ones, while in the assembly too, he now has only 13 MLAs left. Whereas according to the report of news agency ANI, 42 MLAs are present with Eknath Shinde. A short while ago, Ravindra Phatak, along with Agriculture Minister Dada Bhuse and former Forest Minister Sanjay Rathod, arrived at Hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati.
