Hearing the matter on Monday, the Supreme Court has ordered Ashish to surrender within a week. The SC also said that the Allahabad High Court did not hear the aggrieved party. Considering the FIR, the side of the victim’s family and all other points, Ashish’s bail is canceled forthwith.

  • 3- Can file a curative petition before 5 judges after the review/recall application is rejected by the Supreme Court.
  • 4- If the curative petition is also rejected by the Supreme Court, after some time the fresh bail application can be filed again.

Shashwat Anand said that it would be interesting to see whether the circumstances that have changed since the last Bell application are also shown while entering the Fresh Bell Application.

Demand for cancellation of bail of Ashish Mishra
The farmers killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence had appealed to the Supreme Court to reject the bail of the main accused Ashish Mishra and send him to jail again. In the earlier hearing, the court had asked the UP government to ensure the security of witnesses, a bench of Chief Justice NV Ramana, Justice Surya Kant and Justice Hima Kohli was hearing the matter.

What happened in Lakhimpur?
A large number of farmers were demonstrating in Tikuniya village, adjacent to the Nepal border, about 70 km from Lakhimpur district headquarters, at around 3 pm on October 3, 2021, when suddenly three vehicles (Thar Jeep, Fortuner and Scorpio) trampled the farmers. Went. Angry farmers created a ruckus over the incident. A total of 8 people died in this violence. It included 4 farmers, a local journalist, two BJP workers.
