Accused In Salman Khan Shooting Case Dies Following Suicide

On Wednesday, one of the suspects involved in the Salman Khan firing incident attempted suicide while in police custody. He was promptly taken to a hospital but unfortunately passed away during treatment.

The individual, identified as 32-year-old Anuj Thapan, was accused of supplying weapons to two gunmen who fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai.

As per the police statement, Thapan attempted suicide while in police custody. Following the incident, he was immediately transported to Mumbai’s GT Hospital where his condition was deemed critical. Unfortunately, the accused passed away shortly thereafter.

The incident took place around 4:51 am when two individuals fired four shots outside Galaxy Apartments before swiftly fleeing the scene. A Mumbai Police official stated that Salman Khan was present at his residence when the shooting occurred.

After the incident, the Mumbai Police apprehended the two shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, in Gujarat’s Bhuj.

Thapan and Chander were arrested by the Mumbai Police following information provided by the two apprehended shooters regarding their involvement in the entire incident.

The Mumbai Police has applied the strict Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against all individuals arrested in connection with the case. The investigation into the incident is presently ongoing.
