“There will also be an ICC meeting in March and I do not want to go public with the conversations I have had with ACC members in Dubai or what is planned to be done, debated or discussed in the upcoming meetings. but yes of course India And Pakistan cricket ties are important.”

The PCB was incensed last year when ACC president Jay Shah said that the Indian team would not go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup and the tournament would be shifted elsewhere, as happened in 2018.

The then Rameez Raja-led PCB retaliated by threatening not to send its team even for ODIs if India did not come to Pakistan. World The cup is to be held in India later this year.

Rameez later also threatened that Pakistan might even consider pulling out of the Asia Cup.

Sethi agreed that there is a need for some clarity on cricket matters between India and Pakistan so that ACC and ICC events are not affected. Hosting the Asia Cup this year is very important and India sending its team is a big issue as it will definitely have an impact on the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in 2025.
