ABP News CVoter Survey: Uttarakhand, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa are all set to watch assembly elections, as the election dates have been formally announced by the Election Commission.
Opinion polls conducted by ABP News in association with CVoter try to track trends in electoral states. Opinion polls for Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand revealed:
BJP ahead in UP
According to the ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll, BJP seems to be returning to power in Uttar Pradesh. According to the results of the last four surveys, BJP will win in the upcoming elections.
In the 6 January survey, 49 percent people believed that the BJP government would once again be formed in this big state of the country. Whereas 30 per cent people felt that the Samajwadi Party-led coalition would form the government. Only seven per cent believed that the BSP could make a comeback in the state.
In the survey of 3 January, 44 percent people preferred Yogi Adityanath for the post of Chief Minister. Akhilesh has been the choice of 32 per cent of the respondents, while 15 per cent chose Mayawati as the chief minister.
You are at the forefront in Punjab
According to the CVoter survey conducted in Punjab, 32 per cent people are in support of AAP forming the government. Whereas 27 per cent people still support the Congress. Notably, only 11 per cent people are in favor of the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) alliance.
During the survey, people were asked whether they were dissatisfied with the Punjab government and wanted change. 66 per cent people said that they are dissatisfied with the Punjab government and want change. On the other hand, 34 per cent voters expressed that they are neither dissatisfied with the Punjab government nor want to change it.
BJP government in Uttarakhand
The ABP News-CVoter survey tried to find out which party the people of Uttarakhand support. 40 percent people were seen in favor of BJP. On the other hand, around 36 per cent voters favored Congress and 13 per cent voters supported AAP. Around 11 per cent voters were inclined towards others.
In terms of seats, BJP seems to be getting 33 to 39 seats in the survey. Whereas Congress is expected to get 29 to 35 seats and AAP may have to be satisfied with only 1 to 3 seats in Uttarakhand.
Notably, physical rallies of political parties or potential candidates or any other group related to elections have been banned till January 15. No road shows, padyatras, cycle or bike rallies and processions will be allowed till January 15 in view of rising coronavirus cases. ,
Assembly elections in all the five states will be completed in total seven phases, in Uttar Pradesh, voting will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.
