ABP CVoter Survey: Adityanath, Akhilesh, Mayawati – Who is most preferred to be the next CM of UP?

Uttar Pradesh, being the largest Indian state as well as its importance in the Hindi-speaking region and for the next general election, is the biggest contest in which the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Samajwadi Party (SP), the Congress, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), BSP). ), and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are trying to win the trust of all voters.

So, in the big bout of UP, ABP News teamed up with CVoter to find out what people think about the Adityanath-led government, along with opinions on various related matters such as who is to be the next chief. When asked to rate overall performance With Adityanath as chief minister, most of the respondents considered him good (41.5 per cent). However, those who followed it closely rated their performance as poor (37.4 per cent) while 21.1 per cent rated it as average.

but their most preferred candidate As for becoming the next chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, most respondents said Yogi Adityanath (42.8 percent), followed by Akhilesh Yadav (32.2 percent), and Mayawati (15.4 percent). Priyanka Gandhi scored 3.6 per cent and RLD’s Jayant Choudhary at 1.6 per cent did not woo people as much as their parties expected. Meanwhile, 4.4 percent chose others.

When the respondents were asked whether they were angry with the CM Adityanath-led government and whether they wanted to change it. The reactions were as follows:

  • Anger and want to change government – 48.3%
  • Angry but don’t want to change government – 27.5%
  • Not angry and do not want to change the government – 24.2 percent

The first option, with nearly 50 per cent of the respondents agreeing, could be a worrying sign for the ruling BJP.

In contrast, when people were asked to state whether they support or vote for any party, which party or alliance they think will win the UP elections, the response turned out to be favorable for the BJP.

45.3 per cent of the respondents said they think the BJP will emerge victorious, followed by the SP (29.8 per cent). Meanwhile, BSP at 8.1 per cent and Congress at 8 per cent did not get a picture of hope among the people. 3.3 per cent left some space open for other parties. Respondents also shared their opinion on what factors they think will significantly affect the upcoming assembly elections in UP.

Among the alternatives, farmers’ protest (26.9 percent) emerged as a major factor, followed by communal polarization (16.1 percent), the state government’s handling of the COVID pandemic (15.2 percent), and crackdown on mafias and gangsters. (13.5 percent).

10.6 per cent left room for other issues, while 6.7 per cent said that implementation of government schemes like Anti-Romeo squad, closure of illegal slaughterhouses, Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana etc. was an important factor.
