ABP C-Voter Survey: Will Adityanath’s move to contest the UP elections put pressure on Akhilesh Yadav?

New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections, the BJP had on Saturday announced that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur.

Gorakhpur is the home constituency of the Chief Minister, who has elected him to the Lok Sabha for five consecutive terms till 2017.

In a survey conducted by ABP-C Voter, people were asked whether Akhilesh Yadav should also contest the upcoming assembly elections.

Akhilesh will be under pressure, most people claim

In the survey, people were asked whether CM Yogi Adityanath, who is contesting the upcoming UP elections, would also pressurize Akhilesh Yadav to do the same.

Most of the people said that this will definitely put pressure on Akhilesh Yadav.

In fact, a total of 48 per cent respondents said Akhilesh would be under pressure to put his hat in the ring. Around 33 per cent people believed that this move of Adityanath would not put any pressure on Akhilesh. About 19 per cent people either did not express any opinion or did not answer the question.

After speculations on Mathura and Ayodhya, Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur!

Yogi Adityanath’s intention to contest the upcoming UP elections was being discussed in the political circles for a long time.

Earlier it was being said that Yogi can contest from Mathura seat, because he had told it as his dream.

There was also speculation that Adityanath would run away from Ayodhya. The action by the party was seen as a way to reinforce the Hindutva message and strengthen the cadre, especially since the Ram temple project was already well underway.

However, CM Yogi Adityanath has finally announced that He will contest the 2022 UP elections from his old constituency Gorakhpur.
