Abhishek Nigam also expressed that everyone still misses Tunisha Sharma and Sheezan Khan on the sets of Ali Baba.

Abhishek Nigam recently replaced Sheezan Khan in the popular show Ali Baba. There has been a change in the cast as Khan is currently in judicial custody in connection with the death of his co-star Tunisha Sharma. He has been accused by the late actress’s mother of abetting her suicide.

In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, we asked Abhishek if he spoke to Sheezan’s sisters or family after he was selected for Ali Baba. The actor revealed that he didn’t do it because ‘the situation was not favourable’. However, he also shared that the makers of the show would have informed Khan’s family about the revenge news.

“The situation was not conducive where I could talk to him but I am sure, those who were in touch with the makers would have informed him. I was on the other side. I was looking at things from a different perspective. I had full faith in the makers. I was listening to them,” Abhishek told us.

Talking about what convinced him to join the show, the young actor shared, “I had faith in the makers and the people who are working so hard day and night for the show. When he didn’t get demotivated even after such a tragedy, I also trusted him. Salute to these people. When you have the blessings of your elders, you accept the challenge.”

During the conversation, Abhishek also talked about the comparisons that Ali Baba fans are drawing between his performance and Khan’s. He acknowledged that it is “very difficult, rather impossible” to break the benchmarks set by “previous actors”, but added that he does not dwell on the negativity.

“When you have intention to overcome anything when you have bad intentions like ‘I have to do better than them, I have to make people forget them’, that’s when you take the pressure. That was never my intention. I always wanted to play his character in the best possible way so that people can accept it. It is very difficult, rather impossible to break the benchmark set by them (Tunisha Sharma and Sheezan Khan). They were widely loved characters and very Talented actors played those roles.”

“I have a filter. I always welcome feedback, good advice and good things that come my way. If I talk about negativity, it’s up to us how we take it. What’s in our hands That we work hard and stay true to our craft. That’s what we are doing and trying to win the hearts of those who are unhappy right now.”

The former Hero: Vanishing Mode On actor also mentioned that he does not have a special attitude towards the people on the sets of Ali Baba who are still reeling from the tragic loss. He shared how the team of Ali Baba ‘warmly’ welcomed him and said he was grateful to them for the same. “Everyone here is working hard in whatever they do. I have never had an attitude. I have been very natural with them in terms of my feelings and work. They have also always supported me. They inspire me He did. He warmly welcomed me, for which I am very grateful to him.”

Abhishek concluded by saying that everyone still remembers Tunisha Sharma and Sheezan Khan on the sets of Ali Baba. “We are always going to miss her. Somebody remembers them,” he concluded.
