Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 is set to premiere on July 27. The stunt-based reality show has been generating buzz not only for its high-octane action but also for alleged behind-the-scenes drama involving Abhishek Kumar and Asim Riaz. Recent promos and reports have hinted at a possible rift between the two stars. There were reports that Asim Riaz allegedly expressed a demand to stay on the show only if Abhishek was eliminated. Now, Abhishek has addressed these rumours and shared his thoughts on handling such controversies.
During an interview with Pinkvilla, Abhishek shared, “Rohit sir ne ek baat boli thi jab mein stunt haar gaya ya nai pura kar paya, Rohit sir ne bola tha ki is baggage ko aage mat leke jana (Once when I failed a stunt or couldn’t complete it, Rohit Sir advised me not to carry that baggage forward).”
Abhishek continued, “Isse maine yahi seekha tha ki joh ho gaya usko chodo aur aage badho. Ab joh ho gaya usko chodhke aage badh raha hu. Negativity ko mei dekhta hi nahi hoon (I learned that whatever has happened, just leave it behind and move forward. Now, I’m moving forward, leaving the past behind. I don’t even pay attention to negativity).”
The actor also shared that he focuses only on the positive aspects of life. “Maine Khatron kar liya hai, mein ab apne next project pe kaam kar raha hoon. Mujhe farq nahi padta ki kaun kya bol raha hai kya nai bol raha hai. Show ke time jo hua usse mujhe ab aage badhna hai (I have completed Khatron Ke Khiladi, and now I’m working on my next project. I don’t care about what anyone is saying or not saying. What happened during the show is in the past and I need to move forward now).”
Abhishek also revealed that his side of the story about the fight with Asim will be shown in the upcoming episodes of the show. A recent promo released by the makers showed Asim and Abhishek getting into a major fight. It all started when Niyati told Rohit Shetty that Asim kept saying on the flight that he had endured a lot of pain. This irritated Asim, and he went on to argue with the other contestants. When Abhishek asked Asim why he was fighting, Asim got further offended and walked away. Abhishek then lost his temper, leading to a verbal fight and them shoving each other with their shoulders.
The list of contestants for this season includes names of Shalin Bhanot, Abhishek Kumar, Asim Riaz, Niyati Fatnani, Shilpa Shinde, Aditi Sharma, Aashish Mehrotra, Krishna Shroff, Karan Veer Mehra, Shumona Chakravarti, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Gashmeer Mahajani.
