Aamir Khan’s Son Junaid Khan’s Debut Sparks Outrage

A day before the release of Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan’s debut film ‘Maharaj’, people have erupted in anger at Netflix. Junaid’s film ‘Maharaj’ is set to release on Netflix on June 14, but the hashtag #BoycottNetflix is already trending on Twitter. Neither the teaser nor the trailer of the film has been released yet. The controversy started over the poster of ‘Maharaj’, with many demanding a boycott of Netflix, the platform releasing the film.

Let’s find out why there’s so much fuss about Aamir Khan’s son Junaid’s film. Junaid is making his Bollywood debut with this movie. Recently, the first look poster featuring Junaid and Jaideep Ahlawat was shared, and this is what has upset people.

#BoycottNetflix is trending on X, with people expressing their anger at both the film and the OTT platform. One user stated that if the film tries to hurt Hindu religious sentiments by depicting sadhus and saints negatively, then Junaid Khan, Yash Raj Films, and Netflix are responsible for disturbing law and order. Another user said the film misleads society by attacking Hindu faith, promoting adultery, glorifying terrorists, and degrading moral values.

People have also strongly criticized Aamir Khan. They say that Aamir mocked Lord Shiva in his film PK, and now his son is defaming Hindu religion and cultural traditions in Maharaj. They believe this film should be boycotted. One person commented that Aamir Khan launched his son with a Hindi film that creates a negative image of saints and the Vallabh sect by depicting a story set during British rule.
