AAJ KA PANCHANG, AUGUST 19, 2024: The Purnima Tithi of Shukla Paksha and Pratipada Tithi of Krishna Paksha are scheduled to occur on Monday, August 19, according to Drik Panchang. Both Shukla Purnima and Krishna Pratipada are considered highly auspicious for commencing important activities, as they fall within Shubh Muhurta timings.

This day marks the celebration of twelve festivals: Raksha Bandhan, Rakhi, Gayatri Jayanti, Fifth Shravan Somwar Vrat, Rigveda Upakarma, Yajurveda Upakarma, Narali Purnima, Hayagriva Jayanti, Sanskrit Diwas, Shravana Purnima Vrat, Shravana Purnima and Anvadhan.

The Raksha Bandhan thread ceremony is performed between 1:30 PM and 9:08 PM. Meanwhile, the best time to tie the rakhi is during Aparahna, which is expected to take place from 1:43 PM to 4:20 PM. If Aparahna is not available, the Pradosh time is also suitable. It is scheduled to occur between 6:56 PM and 9:08 PM.
