A promoter was injured in the firing at Rajabazar around noon.

Shootout once again in Kolkata, may the week turn or not. A man allegedly entered an office and opened fire on Keshav Chandra Sen Street near Amherst Street Police Station. A man named Deepak Das was shot. The incident is initially believed to be due to promotional controversies.

The firing took place in front of Keshab Residency on Keshab Chandra Street near Rajabazar on Wednesday afternoon. A local promoter named Deepak Das was shot dead. It is reported that he has been shot in the head. He was taken to NRS Hospital.

The sound of gunfire created temporary panic in the area. The police reached as soon as the news was received. The administration has started investigation into who fired the bullet. However, preliminary investigation suggests that any business partner of the affected promoter could be involved. They have started collecting CCTV footage of the area. Police is questioning eyewitnesses.

This incident has once again raised questions on the security of the city. Let me tell you, recently a young man was accused of entering an office on Sharat Basu Road in South Kolkata and firing. In such incidents, questions have been raised repeatedly on the safety of traders in Kolkata.
