Anees Bazmee, who’s teaming up with Kartik again for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, said the new film will be different from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022).
Director Anees Bazmee opened up about his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 clashing with Singham Again. Both films are the third films in their respective franchises and are among the highly anticipated films of 2024. The films are slated to release this Diwali. This is not the first time that big titles have clashed on the occasion of Diwali. Ahead of the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, director Anees Bazmee shared a few tidbits.
The filmmaker, teaming up with Kartik again for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, said the new film will be different from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). Anees promised that it will be “much better, bigger, more entertaining and engaging,” compared to the earlier movie, as quoted by HT. Talking to News 24, he said, “We have tried to take the game a notch higher with this film, whether it’s in terms of the story or the use of visual effects. It’s been made on a much larger scale.”
The filmmaker said the team has given their best to the film and that everyone who has seen it so far has loved it. This time, Vidya Balan from the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) will join Kartik, along with Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit.
In a recent interview, Anees Bazmee was asked if he has discussed the film’s clash with Ajay Devgn. The filmmaker said he hasn’t and added that the decision to clash is the producers. “Why should I talk to him? It’s a business decision between producers, and I am just the director. Singham Again’s team is insisting on a Diwali release. Clashes are never a good idea. I know that we had announced Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s release date a year in advance, but what can we do? I’ve always maintained that a good film doesn’t need a date to work,” he said.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead. The film marks Vidya Balan’s return to the franchise and also stars Madhuri Dixit. This time around, Kartik is paired opposite Triptii Dimri.
As for Singham Again, the film is directed by Rohit Shetty. Although Ajay Devgn is headlining the film, Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.
