Malaika Arora’s father passed away on Wednesday. Several members of Arbaaz Khan’s family visited her and her family.

Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan made her way to meet Malaika Arora after her father’s death. On Wednesday, news broke out that Malaika’s father Anil Mehta had passed away. The initial investigation hinted at death by suicide. However, the police is still investigating the death. While Arbaaz Khan was the first one to reach Malaika’s parents’ doorstep after the death, his younger sister Arpita also joined him at the residence in the evening.

A video surfaced online showing Arpita rushing to Malaika’s parents’ home. She maintained a distance from the media as she rushed into the building. Watch the video below:

Earlier in the day, several other family members of the Khan family made their way to meet Malaika and her family. The paparazzi spotted Salim Khan and Salma Khan visiting Malaika with Sohail Khan by their side. Shortly after, Helen was also seen visiting Malaika to offer her condolences. Malaika was previously married to Arbaaz Khan. They were married for 18 years before they parted ways in 2017.

Malaika and Amrita Arora’s friends Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Neha Dhupia and Kajol also visited the family to extend their support.

Following Anil’s death and initial investigation, the Police spoke with the media. They said, “Anil Mehta used to live on the sixth floor. We are carrying out a detailed investigation from all angles… our forensic teams are here for investigation. His body is being sent for postmortem. We are investigating everything… prima facie it looks like suicide, we are conducting further investigation.”

Sources claimed Malaika’s mother, Joyce, in her statement to the police, said that Anil Mehta would routinely sit on the balcony and read the newspapers every morning. She told the police that they were divorced, but had started living together again for the past few years. She told the police that on Wednesday morning, when she saw her ex-husband’s slippers in the living room, she went to look for him on the balcony.

When she could not find him there, she leaned over and saw below. The building watchman was shouting for help. Joyce also told the police that Anil Mehta was not suffering from any illness.
