Apple finally launched the much-anticipated iPhone 16 series, Watch Series 10 And AirPods 4 on September 9.

Following its annual tradition, Tim Cook’s Apple has finally launched its latest iPhone 16 series at the Glowtime Event 2024. On September 9, the Cupertino-based company unveiled the latest products at its California headquarters. While Apple aims to dominate the mobile market once again, its long-standing rival, Samsung, remains “unimpressed.” Known for mocking Apple around its annual event every year, this year too, the Korean giant has started taking a dig through indirect posts on X.

Right after Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 series, Samsung instantly took to its official X handle and shared an old post. Seemingly disinterested in the iPhone 16’s latest features, Samsung mockingly asked if the company has managed to bring the “fold” feature. “Let us know when it folds,” the post read, to which Samsung added, “Still waiting.”

Reacting to the jibe, social media users were left divided, with many giving Samsung a “taste of their own medicine.” A user asked, “Can you airdrop?”

Another commented, “Foldable phone is nothing more than a gimmick.”

“Waiting for you to bring out a revolutionary hearing aid feature… Works both ways lol,” a comment read.

While many shared why foldable phones are not special anymore, a section of users seem to have enjoyed the never-ending battle between the companies.

Meanwhile, Samsung also targeted the new AI features and the similar designs that the phones retain. “You know… we may have set your AI expectations too high,” it wrote.

In a post, YouTuber Quinn Nelson called out Apple for using the same design every year, to which Samsung made another attempt to target its rival; however, it backfired. “Beautiful new design” Uh, that’s the same,” Nelson wrote along with an image of Apple Watch Series 10. Reacting to the post, Samsung replied, “You said it, not us,” hoping to ride on the wave against the company, only to get drowned immediately.

Nelson came up with a brutal reply and wrote, “Hey, it’s just like your phones every year!”

Notably, the discussions come at a time when Samsung is also hoping to steal some limelight by unveiling its own sales event on the same day. The company recently teased its “Discover” sales event, which started on September 9 and will run till the 15th.
