Badshah has opened up about his separation from his former wife, Jasmine Masih for the first time. The globally popular singer-rapper was married to Jasmine Masih and has a daughter named Jessemy Grace Masih Singh. However, the two parted ways in 2020.
In a recent interview, Badshah revealed what went wrong in his relationship with Jasmine. He shared that even though they both tried hard to be together, they realised that their married life was ‘not healthy’ for their daughter.
“We both tried everything. We tried our best and gave everything that we had. We separated because it was not healthy for our child. I get to meet my child but not that often as she lives in London,” Badhsha said on the podcast Prakhar ke Pravachan.
The ‘DJ Wale Babu’ singer further talked about his bond with his daughter and revealed that she isn’t a fan of her father but of K-pop band Blackpink. “She was at my concert. My daddy is cool. He’s very cool. But she’s not a fan. She listens to Blackpink. As a musician, buying another musician’s merchandise for your own child is a little painful,” he added.
Meanwhile, Badshah is currently rumoured to be dating actress Isha Rikhi. In 2023, reports claimed that the two were also planning to tie the knot soon. However, back then, the singer dismissed all such claims and called it ‘bullshit’. “Dear media, I respect you but this is super lame. I’m not getting married. Whoever’s feeding you this bullshit needs to find better masala,” he had written.
Reportedly, Badshah and Isha have been dating for years now. They met at a party via one of their mutual friends and fell in love with each other. Isha Rikhi is a Punjabi actress who made her debut in 2013 with the film Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De. The film also starred Sippy Gill and Om Puri among others in the lead. The actress made her Bollywood debut with Nawabzaade in 2018 which also starred Varun Dhawan, Raghav Juyal and Punit Pathak.
