The actress had just watched Love Sex aur Dhokha and was scared to meet Rajkummar Rao.
Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are one of Bollywood’s most loved couples. They met during Rajkummar’s days in FTII and after several years of dating, tied the knot in November 2021. However, Patralekhaa was terrified of the actor before she met him for the first time.
Patralekhaa told Galatta India, “We did meet at FTII because my friend was studying there and she was making a music video. My friend called me and said, ‘Do you want to come?’… I said, ‘Theek hai, main aa rahi hoon. Ladka kaun hai?’ She told me it was Rajkummar and I had just seen LSD. I was petrified of him. I was genuinely petrified of that guy and I still remember his name in the movie, Adarsh. I said, ‘I can’t come, I’m super scared.’”
Rajkummar Rao met his wife, actor Patralekhaa, in the early days of his acting career. When asked about the significance of meeting her, Rajkummar, in an exclusive interview with News18, promptly said she played the “most important” role in his life. He reflected, “She became my strength, and my guiding force. She is the love of my life, she is my wife now and I, her husband. She is my go-to person for everything. When I am in the lowest point in my life, I go to her. When I am the happiest, I would go to her. So, she’s the one thread that has held me together in my bad days and good days.”
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is currently making headlines following the success of his latest film Stree 2, and is overwhelmed with the response the film has received in just 10 days. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie stars Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Apartshakti Khurana. Rajkummar, who tries to choose diverse roles, is “super elated” with the appreciation Stree 2 has been receiving.
tree 2 continues its unstoppable journey at the box office, surpassing the Rs 400 crore mark on its 12th day. The film has become the seventh Hindi film to join this elite club, standing tall among industry giants like Jawan, Gadar 2, Pathaan, Animal, Baahubali 2 (Hindi), and KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi).
