As per the reports of The Sun website, the woman named Hannah Walker met her boyfriend through a common friend. When she discovered the secret about him, they had already been together for eight years. According to her, it became a turning point in their relationship and she has shared her story with a show, Gamble.

Now that she looks back at their time together, the telltale signs may have existed, she stated. Things started to go downhill once they opened a joint account. The night she found her partner’s big secret, he had left his phone at home and was out for golf. Now, Hannah thought it was a kind of “cry for help.” She discovered that her partner had wasted 100,000 pounds or Rs 1 crore in gambling. Their daughter was only six weeks old at the time, so instead of just leaving him, she revealed that she felt relief.

She confronted her partner about the discovery and he gradually opened up to her, starting a healing process. Talking to the Mirror, Hannah said, “And it was awful and really sad, but also it felt like a relief.” In the initial stages, Hannah had no idea what to do and how to proceed. So, she took the help of Google and emailed Gamblers Anonymous. According to her, their reply proved to be a “massive lifeline.” She stated, “I don’t know what I would have done at that point because I was so scared.” Her partner started attending the GA (Gambler’s Anonymous) meetings. There was an instant change within him and his relationship with others.
