Bollywood music composer Jatin Pandit’s son, Raahul Jatin, has released a new single titled Shopping on his YouTube channel. Raahul, who donned the hat of both composer and singer for the newly released track, is brimming with joy as the song was finally unveiled today. The upbeat peppy track combined with a quirky romantic video is a subtle take on today’s relationship dynamics, particularly of a married couple.
The music video features Raahul Jatin and Avantika as husband and wife. Directed by Harper Guhania, the video shows the duo unintentionally hurting each other while exploring the complexities of marriage. It starts with Raahul’s character ditching the actress as he refuses to take her on a shopping date due to work commitments. Fuelling with anger, she takes his credit card and continues shopping until the limit is reached. As the husband realises his mistake, he apologises and takes her on a date, leading to a happy ending.
As per the detailed description of the music video, the song Shopping was shot in panoramic locations of Venice Beach in California, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Monica Pier. Additionally, various spots in Los Angeles were also used for a picturesque background in the video. Besides, a budding writer Shayra has penned the lyrics for the peppy track.
Speaking about the track Shopping, Raahul Jatin has been quoted by several media portals as saying, “This song tells the story of a couple who genuinely love each other. However, as in any relationship, there are moments when we unintentionally do things that might hurt our partner. It’s a reflection of the ups and downs that are part of any close relationship.”
Adding the process that went behind making the track, the singer cum composer Raahul Jatin added, “When it comes to creating the song, my process begins with coming up with a catchy melody. This melody serves as the foundation, and from there, I develop lyrics that weave a narrative around the tune. Once the story and the lyrics are in place, we move on to recording the track. The final steps involve mixing and mastering the song to ensure it sounds polished and ready for release.”
