Three youths from Uttar Pradesh have returned to their homes from Afghanistan. Kanhaiya of Ghazipur, Shubham and Satvir Singh of Sambhal saw and felt the terror of Taliban very closely. The three youths, who reached Kabul for work, remained in the shadow of death for several days.

They say that at this time in Kabul there is a flurry of bullets everywhere. Everyone’s scared. When we left for India, the Taliban surrounded us. We checked our documents by taking us to another place, after that we were allowed to leave for the airport.

Kanhaiya Sharma of Ghazipur had gone to Kabul on July 16 for a job.

Kanhaiya said – 17 people were locked in a room, gunshots were heard
Kanhaiya Sharma, who lived in Bhangwal village of Kasimabad, was a mechanic in Kabul. Kanhaiya, who returned to Ghazipur on Tuesday, says that on July 16, Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, had gone to work. We had 17 more people from India with us. Some of these were from UP and some from other states. It was only a few days after we started work that Kabul was attacked by the Taliban. Our factory was closed and the local people went to their respective homes. We were 17 people stuck in the company’s quarters.

The Taliban were firing continuously to spread panic. We had food and drink, through which life was going on, but the shadow of death was hovering all the time. We were afraid that if we came out, we would be killed. We told the whole situation at our house by video call. When the family members requested the government, then the process of returning to our homeland started. When we left for Kabul airport, about 150 people coming to India were with us.

As soon as we reached a short distance from the vehicles, the Taliban armed with weapons surrounded us. After that they took everyone to one place. They checked all the documents. After stopping for a few hours, everyone was sent to the airport. On the way too the sound of gunfire was heard. After reaching the airport, the Taliban once again checked and then let them in. From where the country was sent through Indian Airlines.

Kanhaiya’s family members were in fear and worry due to the changed situation in Afghanistan.

Shubham and Satveer told – Taliban kills for protesting
Shubham and Satvir Singh, who lived in Bhadawal village of Nakhasa, went to Afghanistan on 9 August. Both tell that they had gone there for sevadari in the Gurudwara. As soon as they arrived, the Taliban captured Kabul. Everyone there was in panic, no one could understand what would happen now. They thought that perhaps the Gurudwara would not be attacked. There was an atmosphere of panic due to the continuous firing by the Taliban. People started leaving from there too.

Shubham and Satveer Singh of Bhadawal village had gone to Afghanistan only on 9 August.

The Taliban were roaming the streets and firing. His aim was to spread panic. If anyone opposed him, they were killing him. He would also see the papers of those who came out. He was not attacking Indians. He said that whoever wants to go to his country can go. Then we also talked to our family members. After this the process of returning home started from here. There are many Indians in the city we were in now. Everyone is trying to get out of there.

On Tuesday, both of them came to the village with the batch coming to India. Shubham told that his uncle Santri Singh, the guru of the gurudwara, has left the gurdwara. He is at the airport. He is expected to visit India late Tuesday night or Wednesday. Told that a large number of people of India live in the city from which he has come. The American Army took out many people, but still many people are trapped there.

On Tuesday, Shubham and Satveer came to the village with the batch coming to India.
