worship rituals
Krishna devotees observe fast and have food the day before. On Janmashtami, many devotees make a ‘sankalp’ to observe the fast and break it the next day when Rohini Nakshatra and Ashtami Tithi are over.
If you are celebrating at home, then place the idol of Lord Krishna in the North-East direction. Most people decorate the idol and place of worship with yellow and blue colors, and devotees also wear these colors as it is believed that it brings good luck, luck and peace to them.
