Celina Jaitly Recalls Being Criticised In The Film Industry, Says ‘Either I Was Too White Or Not Tall’

New Delhi: Actress Celina Jaitley has come a long way in her career. Her first meeting with success came when she won the Femina Miss India title in 2001. She later became the fourth runner-up at Miss Universe 2001. However, their journey has not been easy, it has been full of challenges.

Selena recently recalled facing constant criticism and disapproval on Instagram. “I entered the fashion industry at a very young age (15) after being scouted in an army party. The pressure made my entire teenage years a journey of hard work and toil. I also suffered from severe acne and very severe endometriosis and had to be hospitalized almost every month during menstruation due to severe dysmenorrhea and blood loss. It happened. She also spoke about how she was criticized for being “too white”.

“Many times I didn’t even get paid for my hard work and unauthorized use of images due to lack of industry regulations. Then there was constant criticism and rejection either I was too white, too thin, not tall enough or Too tall etc. For many years I had to listen to many derogatory things about all the things that made me unique and in spite of that I kept going. It was really overwhelming for a kid in adolescence, hence the journey to the Taj It was tough,” she added.
