Earlier, the airline had said that the operations would remain suspended till June 22 (Thursday). The cash-strapped carrier’s planes have been grounded since May 3.
Earlier this May, GoFirst filed for bankruptcy at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and suspended its flight operations due to mounting losses, mainly due to delays in the delivery of Pratt and Whitney engines for its A portion of the fleet was grounded. , The airline is hopeful of an immediate resolution and revival of operations.
In a tweet, the airline said, “We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons all GoFirst flights scheduled till June 25, 2023 have been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation.”
“We acknowledge that flight cancellations may disrupt your travel plans and we are committed to providing all possible assistance,” it said.
The airline said, “As you are aware, the company has filed an application for immediate resolution and resumption of operations. We will be able to resume bookings shortly. We thank you for your patience.” “
There were reports that the grounding of GoFirst flights had put pressure on airfares, especially on select routes where the now-grounded airline had a footprint.
