RCB fans were relieved that their record was safe after Lucknow Super Giants scored 257/5, which was the second highest score in IPL history.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans were jubilant that their record for the highest score in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was safe after a brutal hitting display from Kyle Mayers and Marcus Stoinis helped Lucknow Super Giants to 257/1. Got out on 5. Second highest total in IPL history.
Mayers (54 off 24 balls) before Stoinis (72 off 40 balls) effortlessly collected boundaries in the powerplay to help his team set a mammoth target against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Punjab I created a ruckus. Stoinis could have been dismissed in the 13th over but Liam Livingstone touched the boundary while trying to take a regulation catch at long on.
Pooran started his innings with three back-to-back off drives off Livingstone. LSG scored 73 runs in the last 30 balls.
