Enrolled students will gain knowledge from scientists and engineers employed by various ISRO centres.
As part of the course, students will learn remote sensing, its applications, the physics involved, and the distinction between active and passive sensors.
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has invited applications for a course on Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS). Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) under ISRO is conducting the training. Any student from class VIII to graduation is eligible to enroll in the course.
Students enrolled in the Remote Sensing course will learn-
Introduction to Remote Sensing
Phase in Remote Sensing
electromagnetic radiation (EMR)
geostationary and sun synchronous satellite
Remote Sensor Type
multispectral scanner
offers
satellite power solutions
data products
Interpretation of Satellite Imagery
Basics of Remote Sensing will give students an opportunity to learn about remote sensing and geoinformation science technology Duration. The syllabus has been designed as per NCERT syllabus. Enrolled students will gain knowledge from scientists and engineers employed by various ISRO centres.
Enrolled students will learn about the definition of remote sensing, its applications, the physics involved, the difference between active and passive sensors, and other important aspects of remote sensing. In addition, applicants will gain knowledge of the classification of remote sensing data products, elements of image interpretation, the nature of satellite imagery, and how it can be used to monitor environmental issues.
