JDU MLC Ghulam Rasool Balyavi gave a controversial statement on Thursday in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Taking a dig at expelled BJP leader Nupur Sharma, he said, “If you put your hands on the glory of my master (master), then we have gathered at Karbala Maidan and for his glory we will make the cities Karbala.”
He further alleged that no party calling itself secular demanded the arrest of Nupur Sharma. At the rally, he demanded a Muslim Protection Act on the lines of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
He said, “Safety Act should be made to protect Muslims like Dalits. We should have participation in power. Our children should get employment. Dowry should be abolished.”
