SATYENDRA NATH BOSE BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY: Satyendra Nath Bose was an Indian mathematician and physicist. Born in Calcutta (now Kolkata), India, on January 1, 1894, he is best known for his work with Albert Einstein on the theory of the gas-like properties of electromagnetic radiation.

Throughout his time in high school and college, Bose was considered an exemplary student. He graduated with M.Sc. in mixed mathematics from the Presidency College, Calcutta, in 1915. Bose also went on to teach at the Dhaka University (1921–45) before returning to Calcutta.

Between 1918 and 1956, Bose was involved in the production of a number of scientific publications, which were an important step in the advancement of statistical mechanics, the understanding of the electromagnetic properties of the ionosphere, the principles of X-ray crystallography and thermoluminescence, as well as integration fields. as a principle. Albert Einstein, impressed by Bose’s Planck’s law and the hypothesis of light quanta (1924), asked for a collaboration. It was Bose who founded quantum statistics in 1924 when he discovered a new method of deriving Planck’s radiation law. In 1926, Bose was then made the head of the Department of Physics at the University of Dhaka. Eleven years later, Rabindranath Tagore dedicated his only book on science in 1937, Vishvaparichaya to Bose. India In 1954, he was awarded the title of Padma Vibhushan. Bose then became a Fellow of the Royal Society and was nominated as a member of the Rajya Sabha in 1958.
