DelhiA building collapsed on Thursday near Khanna Market in Delhi’s Paharganj area. Delhi Fire Department officials said that seven fire tenders were rescued on the spot.
The building collapse was reported at 8:40 pm. So far two girls and their father have been rescued in the rescue mission. However, a three-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
Amjad, his sisters Zarina (one-and-a-half years old) and Alifa (eight years) and their father Mohammad Zaheer (52) were pulled out of the rubble. They were taken to Kalavati Hospital where Amjad was declared brought dead, officials said.
Suresh Malik, Divisional Warden of Civil Defense – Paharganj said, “We are helping the agencies carrying out the rescue operation.
A senior fire brigade official said search was on for others trapped under the rubble.
