Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur was on a visit to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune on Thursday. Before his arrival, the president and general secretary of the student union had received a direct threat from Apoorva Chandra, additional secretary of the I&B ministry, that if we protest, the ministry will reduce funds for the institute and stop student welfare schemes. It is a threat to our democratic rights.
