Punjab Elections: Former MLA Kewal Dhillon meets Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Amritsar News – Times of India

Barnala: Chief Minister with the aim of suppressing the rebellion in the assembly constituency from which he is contesting. Charanjit Singh Channi On Monday evening, former MLA Kewal Singh reached Dhillon’s residence in Barnala.
Channi asked Dhillon not to take any decision against the party. Channi accepted that injustice has been done to him and he will talk to the party high command.

Congress ticket from Barnala has been allotted to Manish Bansal, son of former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal. Dhillon had contested the last three assembly elections from Barnala, won twice in 2007 and 2012 and lost in 2017.
Channi is contesting from Bhadaur assembly constituency adjacent to Barnala and the echo of any rebellion in Barnala could be felt in Bhadaur as well.
Earlier in the day, hundreds of Dhillon’s supporters gathered at his residence and raised their voice against the party. He urged Dhillon to contest as an independent. Several Congress office-bearers had assured to resign from their respective posts.
Dhillon told TOI that CM Channi accepted that injustice has been done to him and he will talk to the party high command.
