Today the country is celebrating the 73rd Republic Day. This time ample example of women empowerment is visible in the parade. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, the first female fighter pilot of the Rafale jet, has appeared on the tableau of the Air Force. The tableau of the Indian Navy was led by Lieutenant Preeti.

Two women from Sashastra Seema Bal have led the tableau. While giving the slogan ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, women have demonstrated on bikes. The Seema Bhavani team is represented by Constable Pushpa Yadav and Rajwinder Kaur.

This is how Republic Day started
First thing in the morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the country by reaching the National War Memorial. During this, the Defense Minister, Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt, Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar and the Chiefs of the three wings of the Army i.e. Army, Air Force and Navy were present with the PM.

After 15 minutes i.e. at 10.15 pm PM reached Rajpath. After this, the convoy of President Ram Nath Kovind reached the Rajpath with the President’s bodyguards riding on horses. where the Prime Minister welcomed him. Flag hoisting and national anthem took place at 10.26. A 21-gun salute was given.

Ashok Chakra was posthumously awarded to ASI Babu Ram of Jammu and Kashmir Police at the Presidential Salute Stage at 10.28 minutes. His wife Rita Rani received the highest medal of gallantry in peace period. There will be a 90-minute parade on the Rajpath, which will end at around 11.45 minutes. After this, the fly past of the Army, Air Force and Navy will start.

Rafale aircraft roared in the sky
A mega fly past of 75 aircraft was done in the parade. During this, the pilots sitting in the cockpit also streamed it live. Rafale aircraft also roared over the Rajpath and Dhruv helicopters hoisted the tricolor in the sky. 5 Rafale fighter jets took off in the Vinash formation. 75 aircrafts has done mega flypast for the first time.
