Apple iPad: Here’s when Apple might launch the next iPad – Times of India

Apple refreshing yourself ipad Lineup quite often over the years. Over the past two years, we’ve seen two ‘regular’ 10.2-inch . have seen ipad, two AirPad Pro models and a brand new one IPAD air. Now, it looks like the only remaining iPad — the mini — is ready to be refreshed. According to Bloomberg, Apple is on track to launch the next iPad mini this fall — something around September/October.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg mentions this in his weekly newsletter. Gurman suggests that this will be the “biggest redesign in its nine-year history” of the iPad mini. Apart from the redesign, the iPad mini is also expected to be powered by the new processor.
It was in 2019 when Apple last launched the iPad mini. The iPad Mini was backed by Apple then Pencil.
The upcoming iPad mini could see a design similar to the iPad Air, which Apple launched in 2020. For the past two years, Apple has launched an entry-level iPad in September and if Gurman’s claims are to be believed then this year may see it. The launch of the brand new iPad mini.
Tipster John Prosser last month hinted at some changes to the iPad mini. According to Prosser, Touch ID will be removed from the Home button (which also says goodbye) and will be placed alongside the top button. The device can be given a usb Type-C port to make file transfer easier. Prosser also hints that the iPad mini 2021 could come with support for the Apple Pencil 2 or even have its own smaller Pencil as per the tablet’s size. The colors that the device could launch in are Black, Gold and Silver. The upcoming iPad mini is expected to come with an 8.4-inch display and could be powered by the M1 chip.
