Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of withdrawing three agriculture laws has been welcomed by many celebs in the film fraternity, who have appreciated the decision, but actress Kangana Ranaut is quite disappointed with the government’s decision.
Ranaut on Friday expressed his views on the same and reacted to the Centre’s decision to repeal three controversial agriculture laws. Sharing a netizen’s post which read, “The power of the road is the only power that matters, so proved to be #FarmersProtest,” the actress wrote on her Instagram stories, “Sad, shameful and absolutely inappropriate.. . (sic) “If people are on the streets, making laws, if there is no elected government in Parliament, then this is also a jihadi country.” Congratulations to all who wanted it that way.”
In another post, Kangana shared a picture of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Along with Indira Gandhi’s picture, he wrote, “When the conscience of the country is in deep sleep, then lath (cane) is the only solution and dictatorship is the only resolution… Happy Birthday Prime Minister,” he wrote. Friday is the 104th birth anniversary of the former PM.
He shared another post criticizing the government’s decision to withdraw agricultural laws.
Earlier, on the occasion of Gurpurab on Friday, Modi announced that his government would repeal three agriculture laws passed by Parliament a year ago, leading to massive protests by farmer unions in several states. Farmers have been protesting the government’s three agriculture laws since the passing of the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Bill, 2020.
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut has several projects lined up including Dhaakad, Tejas, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda, Emergency, Aparajita Ayodhya and The Avatar: Sita.
