David Warner, former captain, cheers for Sunrisers Hyderabad from the stands

David Warner was the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad a few months back. Now he is in the stands, cheering for the side with the flag in his hands. The former captain was seen enjoying his time with teammate Virat Singh and other support staff. This was the first time that Warner was seen inside the stadium premises as he lost his place. Many former veterans felt that he had been handed a raw deal and made a scapegoat for the team’s poor performance. SRH are at the bottom of the table and their hopes of a place in the playoffs are over.

Meanwhile this is what he posted a few days back. “It’s not about who’s real in your face, it’s about who stays real behind your back.” His post quickly went viral, with many saying that he was made a scapegoat. “Unfortunately, won’t happen again, but please keep supporting,” Warner said in response to a comment in which a fan asked if he was present at the stadium during the game against Rajasthan Royals earlier this week. “David Warner is just Sunrisers Hyderabad, so it is disappointing to see his love affair with the franchise go this way. He has scored so many runs for them over the years, captaining them to the title,” KP wrote in his Betway Insider blog and are in the heart and soul of everything they do.”
