Cash For Lok Sabha Ticket? FIR Against Tejashwi Yadav, Misa Bharti & Others. RJD Refutes Charge

Patna: An FIR has been registered against six leaders including Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav for not giving Lok Sabha ticket by taking money.

Besides Tejashwi, an FIR has been registered against Bihar Congress chief Madan Mohan Jha and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti for promising Lok Sabha tickets in exchange for Rs 5 crore in 2019.

In this case, an FIR was registered at Kotwali police station in Patna on Wednesday.

A Patna court last week ordered the police to register an FIR against six people in this regard following a complaint by Congress leader Sanjeev Kumar Singh.

Singh alleged that he was asked to give Rs 5 crore in lieu of ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Bihar’s Bhagalpur constituency.

RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said that some crazy people do such things for cheap popularity.

“The court should investigate whether the allegations are true or not. He should also check the status of the person making the allegation whether he is eligible to pay Rs 5 crore.

Tiwari further said, ‘It is not right to take cognizance of the allegations without proof.

“It will be given a legal answer. The allegation is completely false,” he said.

Former Bihar Assembly Speaker and senior Congress leader Sadanand Singh, who passed away on September 8, has also been named in the complaint along with his son Subhanand Mukesh and Congress spokesperson Rajesh Rathore.
