PATNA: The state on Monday registered two Covid deaths and 98 fresh cases against 58,575 samples tested. The two fresh deaths have taken the state’s Covid toll to 12,292. With 77 more people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours, the number of active cases came down to 761 in the state on Monday.
Among the two fresh victims, while one was admitted to the hospital with cervical injury, another had septic shock and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Of 98 new cases, Patna accounted for 53. Some districts reported less than 10 cases while 21 districts did not log any new case on Monday. Patna had 395 active cases on Monday, followed by Bhagalpur (41), Saharsa (30), Muzaffarpur (28), Purnia (25) and Araria (23). Meanwhile, over 14.89 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the state so far, including over 7.27 crore first dose, 6.55 crore second dose and 1.05 crore precautionary dose.
