Shah Rukh Khan and her co-star Ranveer.

When asked if he thinks it is a big risk for a debut actor, he replied, “Do you think Shah Rukh Khan took a bigger risk in Baazigar, Anjaam and Darr? Even Ranveer did Padmaavat as Khilji, and I take his example from the current industry. I take a lot of inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan, and Ranveer, he is not just my reel life captain, he is my real life captain too. These two motivations inspired me to take up this role.”

He also wants to prove wrong to those who have the impression that YouTubers cannot be excellent as actors. “Many people think that YouTubers or TV actors may not be able to deliver a remarkable performance. They doubt whether we can take action. So, this is going to be an answer for them. So I wanted to play this role and give it my best,” said Sahil, who aspires to cement his place in the industry as a good actor.

Elaborating on her bond with Ranveer in more detail, she joked that their meeting on the sets of 83 was like meeting a whirlwind of a volcano. “What happens when a volcano meets a tornado? (Laughs) There was so much energy on the sets. People used to troll me on the internet saying that I look like the Ranveer of poor people and now they say I am their brother So the level is rising with time, and I think we should have a film together. He was very helpful on the sets and I feel like taking me under his wing and mentoring me on the sets It was a big thing for him to give. I consider him my brother.”

Kabir Khan’s sports drama based on the Indian cricket teams’ victory in the 1983 World Cup has been stalled for a long time due to the pandemic. When asked if he is worried about the delay in the release, he said, “My thoughts are with the producer because as actors, we have not faced any delay. The money of the producers is stuck for a long time. Kabir Khan made this film after a lot of research because this film required a lot of homework. Yes, I am disappointed but when I see him and feel that he has more than what I have There is a lot at stake, so I control my emotions. It is a mega film and all theaters will turn into stadiums when it is released. When things return to normal, we want to give this film a grand theatrical release. “

Regarding his web film 200 Halla Ho, which tells the story of about 200 Dalit women killing their assailant, he said, “It is women who face all the atrocities in society, and it is a story that is completely It focuses on Dalit women. So when the voice is coming from below, it takes a long time to reach everyone. This film is focused on giving an important message and it is a film that everyone should understand.”

200 Halla Ho directed by Sarthak Dasgupta will release on ZEE5 on August 20.
